2019 Telstra Medium and Making Waves
Paley’s aim was to create architectural lighting that was both beautiful and intuitive. Lighting that exuded design, performance, yet also met the needs of value-conscious customers.
From dreams that started on the road from Payley’s car with a boot full of lights, today Unios stands as a recognised brand in Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia, with ambitions to further expand into South East Asia and Europe.
Unios have reimagined and simplified what used to be a notoriously difficult and a convoluted process for architects and engineers to collaborate by developing Toolbox. A universal platform for configuring, bookmarking, specifying and exchanging on luminaires for any project, Toolbox delivers a seamless workflow for all involved stakeholders.
Unios are continuing to push boundaries in the lighting space with its design-led approach inspiring the Flo Horticulture Series - a series of products that seek to successfully maintain indoor greenscapes with the use of cutting-edge LED technology.
Since its inception, Unios’ focus has been on creating wide-spread adoption of LED lighting because it vastly improves energy efficiency. Beyond this, Unios are looking to the future of human-centric lighting and how it can affect not just mood but even wellbeing and health.
Proudly headquartered in Western Australia, Unios are passionate about providing work opportunities and careers in lighting that previously didn't exist in Perth. As new opportunities arise, Unios also recruit new team members through AtWork, allowing those with a disability to find rewarding careers.
In recognition of their achievements, Unios was named 2019 Telstra Western Australian Business of the Year.
